The first born was Leif, which in their community meant 'the descendant', 'the son'. With his almost ash-blond hair, slender body and piercing blue eyes, he had a false angelic face. He was thus the first son of the de Flamewinds, the one who would accede to the throne on the death of their father, the one who would reign over Herravane for years to come. Like all Flamewinds, Leif was sensitive to Earth magic and had the particular ability to make himself invisible for a short time, enabling him to take his enemies by surprise. He was also able to draw enemies towards him, thanks to a psychic force in the shape of a hand that caught his enemies. He was a very cunning little boy, but also very impulsive, and it was not unusual for him to throw tantrums over anything and everything, like the spoilt child he was, and even more so when the second child arrived.Being five years older than Ase, she didn't really get to play with Leif, and didn't form any particular bond with him.
The third and final child was Viggo, meaning both war and victory. Viggo was rather puny, rather naive, the most sheltered of the siblings, with no particular role other than to bring joy to the Queen's heart with his little songs and his walks around Epvista. At least, that's what he thought at first, because when he was twelve, after yet another failed quest by his father, the King's right-hand man, Anwick, decided to propose the youngest as the King's heir, using his cunning and intelligence to get what he wanted when he wanted it.Viggo and Ase are only two years apart and played together for a long time as children. Ase has always preserved her little brother's innocence and protected him, almost as much as a mother would.
